We've Got To Get These Flowers
We need summer, and we need it now!

What to do? Plant some annuals. While perennials have their place in the garden, annuals are the perfect solution for instant gratification, adding color and texture to beds or containers. These three caught our eye this spring for their vibrant, summer-is-here personalities.

Surfinia Summer Double petunia
Stunningly pretty and tough enough to stand up to high temperatures and rain, these new petunias (shown in photo) are part of Suntory's new Surfinia Summer Double series. Blooms of pink, rose or white atop tight, mounding branches appear early and last.

'Lanai Candy Cane' verbena
Aptly named, this new verbena from Syngenta is part of their popular Lanai series. Large flower heads are strikingly striped, and foliage has good mildew resistance.

Superbells 'Lemon Slice' calibrachoa
We trialed this new Proven Winners introduction in our own gardens last year, and we'll definitely be buying it this season! Flowers are star-patterned in yellow and white and last all summer with just a little pinching back.

Buy   these colorful annuals online or at your local garden center.
