Flowers for Mom? Give Her A Gardenful!
GardenPlanning to give your mother flowers for Mother's Day? Don't just give her a bouquet—give her an entire garden of blooms by taking her to a local public garden!

If you go on May 10, you can help celebrate National Public Gardens Day. Now in its fifth year, this annual event honors the important roles public gardens play in raising awareness about the importance of nature in our lives, including the value of green spaces and conservation.

Timed as always to coincide with Mother's Day weekend, it's an opportunity to get out and enjoy nature with the whole family. More than 500 North American botanic gardens, arboreta, museums and zoos take part in the event.

Special deals and activities will be offered at many participating gardens, including Florida's Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden and the Missouri Botanical Garden. Check with your favorite garden to see what it has planned for the weekend.

It's a perfect way to show mom some love!
