Recipes: The Perfect July 4th Cookout
Molasses-Mustard Barbecued Chicken
Hip hip hooray for the holiday! Put your gardening chores on hold and celebrate with a cookout. These recipes take you from appetizer to dessert, and there's plenty enough to share.

Dip
Make crackers happy with this cream cheese-based Creamy Vegetable Dip, an easy-to-fix appetizer filled with bell pepper, carrot, green onions and seasonings.

Main Course
Molasses-Mustard Barbecued Chicken (shown) is slathered with a sweet-and-spicy sauce that cooks into a golden brown, slightly sticky and totally appealing glaze.

Potato Salad
Start with chunks of potato, add a generous sour cream-mayonnaise dressing, mix in plenty of bacon, cheddar cheese and chives, and you've got the crowd-pleasing Baked Potato Salad.

Dessert
Addictive Candy Bar-Cookie Bars unite two treats in one: a peanut butter-oatmeal cookie crust and a candy-like peanut butter-infused chocolate topping finished with a smattering of baking chips and nuts.
