Learn from the Plant Professors!
Garden Professors
You can't be a gardener without having an open mind and a hunger for learning. To feed our neverending need to know more about growing plants, we frequent the Garden Professors.

With a reputation for offering research-based information gardeners can trust, the website posts new information every week from a variety of horticulture professors throughout the U.S. One of our favorite sections is Interesting Plants. You'll find photos and facts about plants you might not know, like wintergreen shown in the photo (Gaultheria procumbens) and the spikey porcupine tomato (Solanum pyracanthum).

We're also partial to the section called Cool Research, where professors share their own work as well as links to interesting stories and topics, like 400-year-old moss. More articles can be found on a wide range of subjects by clicking on the Categories link, so you're sure to find something to love—and lots to learn!
