Grow Delicious Blueberries
Blueberries usually come with a premium price at the grocery store. But you can beat that price by growing your own.
Blueberries are native throughout the United States and Canada, but only a few are important for fruit production. Learn which is right for you:
Highbush (Vaccinium corymbosum, Zones 4 to 7) is native to much of the eastern United States and Canada.
Lowbush (Vaccinium angustifolium, Zones 2 to 6) is a cold-hardy species that grows from Maine to Minnesota and in eastern Canada.
Half-high (Vaccinium spp., Zones 3 to 7) is a hybrid of highbush and lowbush that has the cold-hardiness of lowbush with the larger fruit of highbush.
