Grow Potatoes, Skip the Digging
Potatoes
Growing potatoes takes little effort and the rewards are so tasty. It's even more fun when you don't have to dig up the harvest! While some gardeners skip the digging by growing potatoes in buckets, there's a better way to go: fabric pots.

Potato Grow Bags are light and porous, so excess water evaporates easily, and they don't retain heat the way buckets and other containers can. The containers are made of BPA-free polypropylene fabric and are roomy—18 inches in diameter x 14 ½ inches tall.

Bags can be placed anywhere that gets good sunlight. Just fill with potting soil, and plant your favorite potatoes. Harvesting is easy: Simply dump the bag, sort the potatoes, and sweep up the dirt. For those who want more growing room, there's also a jumbo size. (One caution: If you have voles, keep them out of the bags by putting hardware cloth on the ground and setting the bag on top of it.)

This year, fresh potatoes are in the bag!
