Plan A Perfect Water Garden

PondYou've been talking about building a water garden for years. Is this the summer you'll finally take the plunge?

Whatever your style and constraints, there's a water feature to suit you. They can be natural or formal, vibrant or reflective, intimate or elaborate. This practical planning guide will help you navigate the project.

Define your goals
Do you want something beautiful to look at? Are you interested in caring for fish or unusual plants? Are you simply wanting to hear the relaxing sound of running water?

Write down your goals; it will help you choose the right site, size, and design for your water feature.

Choose the site
Pick a location you'll see often from the outside and inside. You might want the water feature near your kitchen window, for instance, or beside a patio. The more you see your pond, the more enjoyment you'll get from it.
