Bring on the Bats and Butterflies
| |
| Free garden help is hard to come by. So why not find some new ways to rake in the hired help? |

Bat bungalow
Bats get a bad rap, but the truth is they're a huge help to gardeners. In a single night, one bat can consume thousands of mosquitoes, as well as other pests that harm our favorite plants. How can you repay the favor? Put up a bat bungalow! Place it in the sun about 12 to 15 feet off the ground, and those hard-working bats will enjoy a great new home. |

Butterfly feeder
Beautiful and busy helpers, butterflies pollinate the garden and put on a gorgeous show. Keep them energized with a butterfly feeder. Just fill it with nectar or overripe pieces of fruit to keep the show going. |
